I love Easter, even more than I love Christmas - less stress and expectation and without the rampant consumerism, followed by the often disappointing new year and the dark days of January. At Easter there are signs of Spring all around - green buds, blossom, daffodils and tulips and the scent of freshly mown grass. The days are getting longer and brighter and we've already had our first sunny and even warm days. Nature is coming back to life and hope is in the air. It makes sense that, in the past, 1st March was the start of the new year and I choose this time of the year to celebrate new beginnings.
I love any excuse to make something and here I've made some felt decorations to hang on branches, baked some bunny biscuits and dyed some hard boiled eggs for cracking later.
